The Mystery of Reluctant, Difficult & Impossible Doors! (1)

Topic: The Mystery of Reluctant, Difficult  & Impossible Doors! (1)

Text: Exodus 8 vs 28; Genesis 37 vs 18-2, Isaiah 43 vs 19 & Luke 1 vs 34-37

Lord, arise and have mercy on me, for the time to favour me, the set time is now in Jesus' name! Amen.

Praise God! What the Lord has for you today is awesome and I want you to adjust yourself and go through this charge very seriously. All the issues of your life are wrapped around three doors: 1. Reluctant Doors. 2. Difficult Doors and 3. Impossible Doors. How? Follow me in the illustrations below:

1. Reluctant Doors:

What are these doors? They are situations, circumstances, personalities that are meant to offer you a release of blessings but are just slow, annoyingly slow and sometimes unwilling to release the blessings. Pharaoh, King of Egypt, was meant to release the people of God into their inheritance but he was slow- frustratingly and irritatingly slow to do it.

In Exodus 8 vs 28, the Bible says: " And Pharaoh said I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away....." This is a classic instance of crash reluctance on the part of the King of Egypt. Reluctant doors manifest when: 1. A supposed benefactor gives funny conditions before offering help( such as a request for sex before employment; bribe before a contract, pre-marital sex or no marriage; witchcraft or occultism before breakthrough and all such conditions the enemy gives to people).

It also manifests when: 2. Competition is rife over a breakthrough( such as the situation of Esther in Esther 2 vs 1-4. Here: all the beautiful ladies seeking to replace the displaced Queen Vashti were eligible, but the King must select just only one!). 3. When a good road is suddenly closed and you want it re-opened( divorced, demoted, retrenched or rejected people needing restoration). 4. When a sickness lingers and hope of healing is thinning out( people suffering apparently terminal ailment or critically sick are in this category). 5. When a target is set in a business or an employment and you want the target met. 6. When promises are made but fulfillment is taking too long to come. All these are reluctant door conditions.

A striking thing about such doors is that, there is something precious waiting in the horizon. You know it. The fellow who is to give you also knows it, but somehow, there is delay, postponement and uncertainties. David was anointed to be King in 1 Samuel 16 vs 12-13 but he didn't make it to the palace until 2 Samuel 5 vs 1-5! Why? The door to the palace was just reluctant to open for him. I pray for you today,   God will open every reluctant door standing against your satisfaction in Jesus' name.

There are reluctant doors everywhere: in offices; homes; churches; businesses; government; political parties; relationships, etc. They are situations that stretch people's hopes for too long, they sit on their rest and dry up smiles on their faces. In the case of Pharaoh, King of Egypt, mentioned above, several promises were made for the release of Israelites from hard bondage but such promises were only fulfilled in the breach. Reluctant doors make the heart weary. I pray that God will intervene in such situations around you in Jesus' name.

What should you do, when faced with such doors? You need to cry to God, as Israelites did. You need to fast and pray, as Esther did. You need to fight the enemy through waiting, watchfulness and wisdom as David did. You need to make a covenant with God, as Hannah did and you may also sow a seed, as Abraham did. Don't forget to be praiseful and believe God enough for your miracles to be enough. As you do all these, your doors of blessings and lifting will surely open in Jesus' name. Amen.   Shalom.
